How to read this
The "cheapest" product on total cost isn't always the right answer. Speed matters: an MCA at $30K cost that funds in 48 hours can beat a $15K-cost SBA loan that takes 90 days if the opportunity has a 30-day window. Use this calculator to size the cost gap, then weigh it against your actual time pressure.
Assumptions used:
- Working capital advance: factor rate 1.28–1.42 depending on FICO and time-in-business, term roughly matches "how long you'll use it" capped at 18 months.
- Term loan: APR 9–18% depending on FICO and TIB. Requires 2+ years in business.
- Line of credit: APR 12–24%, assumes 65% utilization for cost calc. Requires 1+ year in business.
- SBA 7(a): Prime + 2.75% to Prime + 4.75%, 10-year term, assumes 6.5% Prime. Requires 2+ years in business, $50K+ revenue/mo.
These are reasonable midpoints — real quotes vary 20%+ in either direction based on lender, industry, and current rate environment. Always get actual quotes before deciding.
